A Night of Radical Participation

💃 Dust off your silks and satins, top-hats and tails, feathers, fans and furbelows! Time to deck yourself out in your interpretation of “burner best” for the Burnerton Ball! ✨
🎉 Mark your calendars for April 2, 2022, as GVIAS presents a grand, welcome back ball! We haven’t gathered together on this scale for a very long time, and we are excited to present a magical evening at an incredible venue in Vancouver, with both indoor and outdoor spaces.
🎪 Inside the main space…
Dazzling decor designed to transport you to another time and space.
Find your muse, or perhaps be a model, in our artiste salon.
Re-awaken your inner flirt with plenty of corners for conversations or canoodling.
Tasty libations and delightful delicacies will await to whet your appetite.
Performers will dazzle you with their skills and prowess; silks, stilts, hoops and more!
🌃 Outside, in a large A-frame tent…
What devious and delicious delights beckon you down the garden path?
Fantastical art pieces created by our community.
A secret maze? Shhhh!
DJs, dancing, and I daresay, some mild debauchery awaits!
⚡Coming soon: more details and call-outs for art pieces, performers, musicians, DJs and volunteers.
🥂 On behalf of GVIAS,

Art & Theme Camps

Artists and those wanting to create interactive spaces (known as “Theme Camps”) can apply to be a part of the experience. We help artists and imagineers through grants and collaboration.

Volunteer

You’ve got your ticket and now you’re excited to PARTICIPATE! We have many roles to fill from setting up before the event, participating during the event and tearing it all down the next day (but not too early). Remember, it’s not work when you’re having fun!!

Stay tuned for more info about volunteering!

Location

Rocky Mountaineer Station is a cavernous venue in the False Creek Flats and the perfect setting for a burner ball!

Science World Skytrain Station is just a 15 minute walk away, and the site has plenty of parking.
